Prof Gerald Fogarty FRANZCR, PhD is a radiation oncologist with a special interest in the radiation treatment of skin conditions. He has most recently been the Director of the Radiotherapy services at the Mater and St Vincent’s Hospitals, Sydney. He trained at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia’s largest Cancer Centre.
He authored the radiotherapy section of the 2019 Management of Keratinocyte Guidelines for Cancer Australia. He is the Chair of the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation which tries to articulate the patient voice in how skin cancer is cared for in Australia.
His career goal is to establish level one evidence for the use of radiation in the skin. He has over 200 publications and conference presentations. He is currently the Master of Warrane College, an affiliated residential College at UNSW.
